The Okeechobee Board of Realtors invites all the members to become an active part of our Association. Listed below are the standing committees of our Association. If you’re interested in serving on any of the committees listed below, please call the Board Office at 863-467-0004 or notify one of the Board Officers or Directors.
·REALTOR POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE - RPAC
Realtor Political Action Committee; RPAC does not support a party but supports candidates who support Realtors®.
·PUBLICITY
Take photos and write articles for local media sources that make the public aware of Realtor® involvement in our community.
·BEAUTIFICATION AWARD
Establishes and maintains records regarding the nomination and selection of residential and commercial properties chosen monthly for outstanding improvements in the community.
·BANQUET
Organizes our annual banquet from where it will be held to the food that will be served and decorations, also seeks out door prizes and awards for the attending members.
·FUNDRAISING
Organizes and promotes fundraising activities for our Scholarship Fund, the Realtor® Political Action Committee and designated charities. These committee members will also help with our annual golf tournament to benefit Habitat for Humanity.
·GOLF TOURNAMENT
Organizes our annual golf tournament. All proceeds go to our annual scholarship fund and a board apporved charities.
·MULTIPLE LISTING SERVICE - MLS
Review and update policies and regulations on the MLS and to stay informed on MLS technology. To aid Realtors® in using the service and to aid the Association Executive in making sure all the members are abiding by the MLS Rules and Regulations.
·EDUCATION
To seek out programs and CE Credit classes that will further educate our members and aid in keeping their licenses up to date.
·MEMBERSHIP AWARNESS
Organizes Social Functions for member fellowship and promotes the involvement of members in all Association activities.
